Motorola has expanded its Edge lineup in India with the launch of the Motorola Edge 70, positioned in the premium mid-range segment.
Motorola’s latest Edge series smartphone aims to balance style with substance in the crowded premium mid-range space. The new model puts the spotlight on a sleek design, solid durability, fast charging support and smart AI-driven features designed for everyday use.
Price, design and display details
The smartphone is priced at Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, with an additional Rs. 1,000 discount is available through select bank offers. It will be sold via Flipkart, the Motorola India website and offline retail stores. Buyers can choose from three Pantone-certified colours: Bronze Green, Gadget Grey and Lily Pad.
The Edge 70 features a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The screen supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The phone has an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, is just 5.99mm thick, weighs around 159g, and comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings along with MIL-STD-810H durability certification.

Performance, camera quality and battery
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI. Motorola has promised three major Android updates and four years of security patches. Moto AI features include Next Move, Catch Me Up 2.0, Pay Attention 2.0, Remember This with Recall and Co-pilot.
For photography, the Edge 70 offers a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a three-in-one light sensor. A 50MP front camera handles selfies and video calls, with support for 4K video at 60fps. The device packs a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless fast charging.
