West Bengal's draft voter list was published today, December 16. Now the hearing phase will begin. Even those whose names appear in the draft list will be called for many hearings. Those who do not have names in the 2002 SIR or have no link to it, the commission will want to know why this is absent. Along with showing cause, they will have to produce any one of the 11 specific documents designated by the Election Commission. Now everyone's question is, when will this hearing phase begin?

When will the notices be issued?

Notices will be sent to voters for the hearing. This notice issuance will begin from tomorrow, i.e., December 17 or 18. The news is that BLOs will deliver these notices. However, it is still not clear whether people will be called for hearings through messages or phone calls.

When and where hearings will be held?

According to sources, hearings will begin from the first part of next week. Commission sources report that these hearings may be held at BDO, SDO, and DM offices. There is one ERO and 10 AEROs for each assembly constituency. These 11 officials may be present at the hearing tables.

How many will be called daily?

According to Election Commission sources, the initial plan was to call 50 people daily. But given the number expected to be called for hearings after the draft list publication, completing this phase will not be easy if only 50 people are called daily. Therefore, this number may be doubled daily.
