At 7 am in the morning, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted search operations at Rishra. From Wednesday morning, the ED conducted a search operation at a house in 17 Lakshmipalli Third Lane in Ward No. 22 of Rishra Municipality. According to sources, the owner of this house is Kailaskumar Verma. He works at a company in Kolkata. He is associated with accounts work.
On Wednesday morning, five ED officials entered the house with six CISF personnel in three vehicles. Kailaskumar Verma has two sons. They also work outside.

A relative of theirs named Ashokkumar Soni said that Kailas has been working at the Kolkata company for 15-20 years. His two sons live in Bengaluru. They don't know why this search is being conducted. They have only been told that an ED operation is underway.
According to sources, the ED operation is being conducted to investigate allegations related to illegal transactions through hawala. Residents said that the family members don't socialise much with anyone. So they can't speak well about them either.
