US President Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr has faced sharp backlash after his recent trip to Anant Ambani’s Vantara wildlife conservation centre, located in Gujarat's Jamnagar. During his visit, Trump Jr. endorsed the initiative of Anand Ambani. He was surprised by how Vantara is towards providing a better life to the wildlife. Which he expressed in a video.
In the video, he stated, “What an incredible place I saw here. The vision, the conservation benefits of taking all these animals, rescuing them and giving them this life. This is better than I live.”

His experience during the visit, witnessing animals flourish in habitats designed to mirror their natural surroundings, made a lasting impact. He also went on saying, “It is just so spectacular to see the animals here in the habitat that you created, that mimics their natural habitat. You see a life in their eyes that you just do not see anywhere else. It is just an incredible place. I highly recommend anyone who has a chance to come here to Vantara, you must do it."
Internet reacts to Trump Jr.'s statement
After the video of Donald Trump Jr. endorsing the wildlife sanctuary, wildlife activists and social media users lined up calling the video "most ironic thing on the internet."
One user wrote, "A man famous for trophy hunting endangered wildlife worldwide gets applauded at a rescue center for animals. The irony is painful. His history includes killing rare sheep and elephants for thrill & now he lectures on conservation for media clicks. This is hypocrisy at its worst."
