Who is this Anmol Bishnoi? Most wanted criminal finally being repatriated to India

Anmol Bishnoi, India's 'most wanted' criminal accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, is being brought back to the country. According to a source, Anmol is being brought back to the country on Wednesday. However, his family has appealed to the central government to ensure security during repatriation.

Anmol's brother Ramesh Bishnoi, told a news media that the law will take its own course, but if he is brought to India, then the Government of India should ensure his security. This is our demand. Our family always follows the law.

Who is Anmol Bishnoi?

Anmol Bishnoi, a resident of Fazilka district in Punjab, is a member of a global crime syndicate. Anmol is the younger brother of Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol is closely associated with Khalistani groups including Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). Anmol's name is also linked to the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique. Anmol maintained contact with criminals involved in Baba Siddiqui's murder through Snapchat.

Anmol's name is also linked to the attack on singer Sidhu Moose Wala in May 2022. An NIA official told a news media that Anmol mainly worked as Lawrence Bishnoi's chief foreign handler. He ran extortion rackets.

In April 2024, Anmol had also taken responsibility for firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's house. After this incident, the Mumbai police had issued a lookout notice against him. In total, Anmol is the accused in 18 criminal cases.

Why is he being repatriated?

According to the NIA investigation, Anmol's name is on India's 'most wanted' list. A reward of 10 lakh rupees has been announced for information about him. It is known that Anmol had been absconding since fleeing India with a fake passport. Investigators said he left India via Nepal and reached Dubai and Kenya before finally arriving in the United States. He was arrested in November last year.
