Monalisa Bhosle shot to fame during the 2025 Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, where she was seen selling rudraksha garlands at the Triveni Sangam. Her photographs, widely circulated online, drew attention for her striking amber eyes and distinctive appearance. Within days, she became a familiar face on social media, attracting influencers, media coverage and public curiosity. The sudden visibility also brought her opportunities, including modelling offers.
Monalisa recently married her boyfriend, Farman Khan, in an interfaith ceremony held at the Arumanoor Sri Nainaar Deva Temple in Kerala. Speaking about their relationship, Khan said, “These six months were like sixty years of love, that's why we decided to get married. We met during a shoot for the film. We were working together. We talked. Monalisa proposed, I initially refused, but Monalisa convinced me.”
The wedding took place at the Gurumandiram outside the temple premises in Thiruvananthapuram and was attended by a large gathering. Among those present were CPI(M) state secretary MV Govindan, Kerala Minister V Sivankutty, and CPI(M) district secretary AA Rahim. After the ceremony, the couple interacted with the media. “We decided to get married in Kerala at this place because we like the Nayanar Temple. People of Kerala are very nice,” Farman said, while Monalisa added, “People here are very supportive. We dated for six months.”
NCST probe and age findings
A probe by the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, under the chairmanship of Antar Singh Arya, has brought a crucial detail to light. According to the findings, Monalisa’s date of birth is December 30, 2009. This places her at 16 years, 2 months and 12 days old at the time of her marriage on March 11, 2026.
Following this, a case has been registered against Farman Khan under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
From garland seller to internet sensation
Before going viral, Monalisa spent years selling garlands at Kila Ghat along the Narmada River. Her life took a sharp turn after a content creator filmed her during the Mahakumbh. The clip gained traction online, turning her into a widely recognised figure.
