A short video shared by a Mumbai woman has struck a resonated online by capturing a moment many people often overlook which is fulfilling a quiet, lifelong wish of elderly family members.
The video, posted on Instagram by Divya Tawde (@shortgirlthingss), shows her grandparents visiting a beach for the very first time in their lives. Standing at the edge of the shore in traditional attire, the elderly couple gently hold hands as waves touch their feet. They fold their hands in a small namaskar to the sea which was a gesture that has deeply moved the viewers.

Divya later shared that watching them greet the ocean was one of the most meaningful moments of her life.
A dream shaped by years of responsibility
Divya's grandparents belonged to a village. They were the type of people for whom travel and enjoyment were never a priority. They had never even seen the sea.
The beach trip was not a part of a larger vacation plan or a social media trend. No, for them, it was a simple attempt to fulfill her grandparents’ desire, a desire they had in their hearts for the last forty years.
Divya wrote: “what faith looks like when it’s simple and pure” – to the way that the water was respectfully greeted by the grandparents.

One user commented, “This left me teary-eyed. May they receive everything they wish for without waiting a lifetime.” Another wrote that they hoped to take their grandmother back to her childhood village or to a river she once spoke about often.
