Reality TV star Prince Narula, popular for winning shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla and Bigg Boss 9, trended on Google on Thursday, January 8.
However, it was not because of any new project or appearance. Instead, a video circulating on social media claimed that the actor had been arrested earlier in the day. Soon after, “Prince Narula Arrested” began trending across platforms, leaving fans shocked and worried.
The video showed Prince being held by police personnel and taken away, which led to confusion among netizens. Several social media users started sharing the clip, with some reports even claiming that he was arrested in connection with a mosque demolition case.

Here's what happened
The truth, however, is very different. The video was fake and edited.
A social media user asked AI assistant Grok on X to verify the clip. According to the user, after checking multiple news sources, Grok confirmed that there was no truth to the claims. “I've checked recent news from sources like India TV, Indian Express, and Times of India, and no reports confirm Prince Narula's arrest by Delhi Police in January 2026. The video uses edited clips that don't match any verified events. This appears to be misinformation,” Grok’s response read.
The viral post was shared on Instagram by the handle ‘Rahul143043’ and quickly gained over 11,000 views, further spreading panic among Prince Narula’s followers.
Putting an end to the rumours, Prince Narula himself addressed the issue. Speaking to TellyChakkar, he clarified that the video was not real. “It was a part of a brand shoot. I’m not arrested," he said.
