A terrifying video that left the internet stunned as a Swiggy delivery person fell from an express train at Anantapur Station

A terrifying video has left netizens shocked.

A Swiggy delivery person has fallen flat on his face at Anantapur station in Andhra Pradesh. The video went viral. Netizens raised questions on the delivery pattern of the Swiggy company, especially on the train service. He fell when he tried to get off the moving train in a hurry after completing a food delivery job at Anantapur station.

On that video, Swiggy's official Social media handle responded as “Our protocols strictly prohibit boarding or exiting moving trains.”

The viral video

On 9th January 2026 at 6:49 pm, one user posted the video, where he recorded the whole incident, showing how the delivery person fell down from a running train. As the caption he wrote, “ Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh: a Swiggy delivery guy fell while getting down from a moving train due to a 1–2 minute halt. The passenger was in 1st AC; the train started before the handover was completed. He could have lost his life. 18464 (Prashanti Express).”

Later, he also added an image to his comment that shows the delivery pattern on the train. In that image, a screenshot is shown where it's clearly shown that the food will be delivered to the customer’s seat after confirming the order.

The video went viral immediately after the user posted it. The video already reached 1 million views, more than 7 thousand likes, and 1 thousand shares.

After the rapid circulation, the video also reached to Swiggy company.

Swiggy reacted to this video by commenting, where the company wrote, “ Hi there, we’ve looked into the incident and are relieved to confirm that the delivery partner is safe, unharmed, and did not face any penalty from authorities. Safety is our absolute priority. Our protocols strictly prohibit boarding or (cont) srkl.in/l/6018BAb9Rm”, in reply to the company's one user comment “Dude, what do you mean he did not face any penalty? You're the one who should be penalised for putting your delivery partners in such a position!”

Netizens’ reaction to this video

One user commented, “ Let me tell you this for the nth time. Human value is 0 in India. We're literally cockroaches in the eyes of the system. “

Another user wrote, “this is really sad”. “@Swiggy STOP THIS NOW!” one user wrote.
