A late-night commute in Bengaluru has gone viral after an X user shared a brief but striking encounter with a Rapido rider, who seemed to study coding while on duty. A post shared by Vaibhav Gupta quickly gained traction for capturing what many online describe as a glimpse of the city's relentless hustle culture.

A glimpse into Bengaluru's everyday hustle

Gupta tweeted a photograph taken from behind while waiting at a traffic signal. The picture shows the Rapido rider sitting on the bike with his phone mounted on the handlebars, screen glowing in the dark. The rider, according to Gupta, appeared to be utilising the short halt to go through a coding lesson or tutorial. Gupta posted on X, writing, “Yesterday my @rapidobikeapp rider was listening to a Node.js tutorial. Upon asking, he told me he’s already a developer and is preparing for a switch. Crazy grind and a @peakbengaluru moment for me.”

The post resonated with the users, who felt the moment perfectly captured Bengaluru's spirit--people juggling multiple commitments, learning new skills, and pushing themselves even at odd hours.

Netizens split between praising dedication and flagging risks

Several users commented, admiringly, about the rider for striving to improve himself. As one user put it, “I feel bad that India is not able to utilise and I do not know why,” indicating dissatisfaction with the situation of under-recognised talent.

“Good hustle, recommend not to get distracted while driving. Both are under risk,” commented another user.

Others kept it short and appreciative, some saying, “Peak hustle, man, inspiring,” “This man is on a different level of multitasking,” and “Massive respect for him.” Some even joked about their own lack of multitasking skills, saying, “Learning while riding? This man is on a different level of multitasking, meanwhile, I cannot even reply to texts while walking. Respect the dedication.”
