YouTube star iShowSpeed found himself in a tense situation during a paragliding stunt that was being broadcast live to his millions of followers. A clip from the livestream has since gone viral after the paraglider briefly stalled mid-air, triggering visible panic from the streamer.
The stunt was staged as part of a high-adrenaline reveal for Speedâs newly announced Fortnite Icon Skin. The popular game regularly introduces Icon Skins inspired by real-life creators, athletes and entertainers, and Speedâs inclusion marked a major moment for his fanbase. The dramatic setting matched his reputation for turning announcements into spectacle-driven live events.

While streaming during the flight, the paraglider suddenly lost momentum and appeared to stall. Speed, clearly alarmed, repeatedly asked the instructor what was happening. âWhat is going on?â he could be heard saying as the glider hovered unpredictably in the air.
âChat, we are about to die?â
The instructor attempted to calm him, explaining that the stall was caused by an air pocket and that such brief interruptions are not uncommon during paragliding. Despite the reassurance, Speedâs anxiety escalated. He said, "Chat, we are about to die," to his livestream viewers. before stating that all he wanted was for the flight to land safely.
The video quickly went viral on the internet, sparking a mixed reaction from the viewers showing amusement and worry at the same time. While some viewers made fun about Speed's response, the others concentrated on the saffety of the stunt. While one user only questioned if the streamer was unharmed, another remarked that even stalled paragliders can land safely.

This was not the first time Speedâs content has involved risky physical stunts. Earlier this year, during his South America tour, he attracted attention in Guatemala after performing a backflip atop a large hand-shaped sculpture inside a national park. But what made the paragliding event unusual was that it happened in real time, without any editing or rehearsals, allowing viewers to witness the fear and uncertainty.
