As soon as the Governor returned from his border inspection, there was again a surge of Bangladeshi infiltrators at the Hakimpur border. Bangladeshis started gathering at the Hakimpur border in Swarupnagar from Tuesday morning. Governor CV Anand Bose had come to inspect that border on Monday.
However, the situation at the Hakimpur border, which had been making headlines in the state for the past few days, changed as soon as the Governor arrived. From Monday morning, no Bangladeshi infiltrators were seen at the Hakimpur border waiting to go to Bangladesh.
But from Tuesday morning, the Hakimpur border returned to its familiar rhythm.

Bangladeshis crowded in front of the Hakimpur checkpoint with large luggage on this day. More than 60 Bangladeshis were waiting at Hakimpur to cross the border and go to Bangladesh on this day. At noon on this day, standing at the border, there was a conversation with Ananda Sarkar, who was waiting to go to Bangladesh. He said, "I came to India crossing the border several years ago. I started living in Simlagar in Panduya. My parents died a few years ago. Both my legs have become paralysed. I have no one else here. I have my voter card, Aadhaar card, everything. But according to the CAA rules, there is no link from 2002. So I am returning to a relative in Bangladesh".

Mohammad Anis, waiting at the border, said, "A few years ago, I paid a large amount of money to brokers from Satkhira, crossed the border and went to Delhi to work as a labourer. As CAA has started, we have come to the border to return to our country".
As soon as CAA started, infiltrator Bangladeshis are voluntarily coming to the Hakimpur border and taking shelter with the BSF to return to their country. Following the guidelines of the Central Home Ministry, the process of repatriating Bangladeshi citizens to their country is ongoing.
