The roar of the dinosaurs is about to fade from Disney’s Animal Kingdom. In a move that signals the end of an era, Disney has confirmed the permanent closure of several beloved DinoLand U.S.A. eateries for clearing space for a sweeping new theme inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones. From October 19, Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite. Snacks will serve their last orders. Harambe Market will follow suit a day later for a temporary revamp and by early February 2026, Restaurantosaurus which was once a family favourite, will also shut its doors. The iconic DINOSAUR ride will close alongside it, marking the final chapter for DinoLand’s prehistoric legacy.

DinoLand Makes Way for Disney’s Next Big Adventure

The closures are part of Disney’s grand redesign to transform the area into Tropical Americas, a lush, story-driven space that blends adventure with modern storytelling.

“Change is at the heart of what keeps our parks alive,” Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro said earlier, hinting at a “bold, emotional” new phase for Animal Kingdom.

As per Disney Tourist Blog, several key dining changes will start from late 2025 and early 2026. Regulars might miss the Dino-Bite ice creams or Trilo-Bites’ famed Buffalo Chicken Chips, but Disney’s culinary team has already begun redistributing fan-favourite dishes across the park, from Eight Spoons Café to Kusafiri Coffee Shop, ensuring that the nostalgia lingers, even as the landscape shifts.

For guests planning winter trips, this season will be the last chance to walk the fossil-lined paths of DinoLand before they’re paved over by Disney’s next big dream. Because at Disney, even goodbyes come with a promise, that something new is always waiting to begin.
