A powerful earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale struck the Philippines on Sunday, leaving at least 19 people dead and more than 200 injured. Authorities have launched large-scale rescue and relief operations as emergency teams assess the extent of the damage across affected areas.

Videos shared on X showed damaged structures, cracked roads and frightened residents gathering in open spaces as aftershocks continued to rattle the region.
