Tremors were again felt in Bangladesh, this time in the capital, Dhaka. The quake hit on Saturday, November 22. According to reports in the Bangladeshi media, the quake struck at 6:06 pm. A mild tremor was also recorded earlier that day in Ashulia.
According to the country's meteorological department, the epicentre of the evening quake was in Dhaka. It measured 4.3 on the Richter scale. The exact spot of the epicentre was located about six kilometres north of the Dhaka Earthquake Observation and Research Centre.

Tremors were felt at Ashulia at 10:36:12 am, Bangladesh time. According to Nizam Uddin Ahmed, an official at the Earthquake Observation and Research Centre, the distance from the area that was hit by the quake to Dhaka was about 29 kilometres. The magnitude of the Ashulia quake recorded in Baipail was 3.3 on the Richter scale.
A powerful earthquake had already shaken Bangladesh on Friday. That quake had its epicentre in Narsingdi, a district near Dhaka, and measured 5.7. Several deaths were reported from the incident.
