Even though a week has passed since the attack, the main accused shooter, Foysal Karim, in the Osman Hadi murder case, has still not been found. According to news from various sources, Foysal knew even before the attack on the Inqilab Mancha leader how big a storm was about to hit Bangladesh. It is reported that the night before the shooting, he met his girlfriend at a resort outside Dhaka. Sources claim that Foysal told his girlfriend that something was about to happen that would shake the entire country of Bangladesh.

On December 12, when Osman Hadi was returning home after finishing Jumma prayers, two miscreants opened fire on him. At that time, Hadi was in a rickshaw and was shot in the head. The incident took place on Bijoynagar Box-Culvert Road in Dhaka. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College, where he had fallen into a deep coma. He was then taken to another hospital. Later, as his condition deteriorated, this 32-year-old young man was taken to a hospital in Singapore by air ambulance. However, he could not be saved, and Osman Hadi died on the night of December 18.

On December 4, Foysal went to meet Hadi at the Inqilab Cultural Centre in Banglamotor, taking his associate Kabir with him. The news media claims that they had a meeting lasting about six minutes. According to Somoy TV's information, the accused had also joined Hadi's team and participated in campaigning for him. It is assumed that Foysal took this path to stay close to Hadi for the murder plan.
