Social media platform Snapchat has launched a new feature to make the content creation experience even easier. This feature is called 'Quick Cut'. Through this, users will be able to create ready-to-share videos synced with music from their photos and video clips within seconds. This feature has been introduced primarily to reduce the time-consuming and cumbersome steps of video editing.

Snapchat wrote in a blog post, 'Quick Cut is part of our growing creator tools that will help create high-quality content much more easily than before.' The company claims that with Quick Cut being added to the recently launched Timeline Editor, the barrier to entry in video creation will be significantly reduced. As a result, anyone will be able to capture, edit and share videos within the app itself.
To use Quick Cut, multiple photos or video clips need to be selected. After that, the app automatically creates a preview video. This video is beat-synced with a song taken from Snapchat's 'Sounds' library.
If users don't like the automatically generated video, there's also an opportunity to customise it. Users will be able to change songs, apply different Lens effects and arrange the video's look according to their preference.
Snapchat has announced that users will be able to start Quick Cut from both Memories and Camera Roll. Even after seeing a Quick Cut created by another Snapchatter and being inspired, users can use that format to add their own photos or videos.
If the video created through Quick Cut needs more subtle changes, there will be an opportunity to do detailed editing using the Timeline Editor. This will allow ordinary users to create quality videos in very little time.

Through launching this new feature, Snapchat primarily wants to intensify competition with Instagram and TikTok. Although professional content creators may not rely entirely on Snapchat's editing tools yet, this is a major advantage for ordinary users.
Snapchat has announced that the Quick Cut feature is launching for iOS users worldwide from this week. There are plans to bring this feature to Android and other devices within the next few months.
