Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's performance
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s aggressive batting in the power play set the tone for the chase. He attacked experienced bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood and dominated both, who looked under pressure and had no clear answers. Virat Kohli, who was on the field, watched the innings closely. The Riyan Parag-led Royals side completed the chase comfortably.
Orange cap and tournament standing
The knock has further cemented Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's place among the tournament's leading run-scorers. He has now accumulated 200 runs across four matches, along with two half-centuries. He has overtaken Yashasvi Jaiswal to claim the Orange Cap in IPL 2026.
