Indian Railways has announced a new express train service connecting Bengaluru and Mumbai, offering passengers another direct travel option between two of India’s busiest metropolitan cities. The newly launched service is expected to improve connectivity for business travellers, tourists, students, and regular commuters travelling frequently between Karnataka and Maharashtra.
The announcement has already generated attention among railway passengers, especially as the Bengaluru-Mumbai corridor remains one of the country’s high-demand travel routes. The new train service is expected to help reduce pressure on existing trains operating between the two cities while offering more flexibility in travel schedules.

The newly introduced Bengaluru-Mumbai Express will operate on a regular schedule with designated stops across important cities and junctions along the route. The train has been designed to provide smoother overnight connectivity while covering major passenger demand centres between the two states.

Passengers will reportedly be able to book tickets through the official Indian Railways booking platform as well as authorised travel portals and counters.
