In a LinkedIn post, Patel said the past few days felt like “72 hours of breaking the internet in India”, while also addressing how people had been discussing her background. She wrote that education was a non-negotiable part of her upbringing and said her family placed strong emphasis on books, learning, and extracurricular activities.

Her father was a marine engineer, and her mother was a teacher. Patel also said she grew up with privilege but described it in terms of access to knowledge rather than wealth alone.

It’s easier, but honestly, I never thought it was helpful.” Patel added that she prefers to question ideas directly while maintaining a logical and respectful approach.
She also attributed this outlook to her upbringing. Patel noted that she was encouraged from a young age to express her opinions, ask questions, and engage in constructive debate. “If you know me or follow me on Instagram, this isn’t a shock. I’m not afraid to stand my ground,” she said.

At the same event, Nikhil Kamath offered a candid remark, blending humor with observation. He said, “$300,000 for your MBA. If there are 500 people in here, that’s $90 million in this room. I just hope knowing tomorrow’s rich kids pays off for me one day. That’s why I showed up.”
