Godrej has delivered the first-of-its-kind human-rated L110 Stage Vikas Engine to ISRO, marking a significant milestone in its support of India’s ambitious Gaganyaan Human Spaceflight Programme. Godrej Enterprises Group’s Aerospace business announced the news of this delivery on 13 November.
The human-rated L110 Stage Vikas Engine has been delivered to ISRO's Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC). The new engine will be used in ISRO's unparalleled LVM3 launch vehicle. The LVM3 launch vehicle is a three-stage launch vehicle. Which has proved its reliability in the past again and again.

Equipped with two solid strap-on thrusters (S200) that are programmed to separate after the rocket lifts off successfully. One liquid core stage (L110) that starts burning after the S200 thrusters separate, taking the spacecraft closer to the geo-transfer orbit. Followed by the third stage, a high thrust cryogenic upper stage (C25).
Executive Vice President & Business Head of Godrej Enterprises Group Aerospace business, Maneck Behramkamdin said, "This is not just a milestone for Godrej Enterprises Group, but also a matter of immense national pride. He also went on saying, " This achievement reaffirms our long-standing partnership with ISRO and LPSC, and showcases our capability to deliver mission-critical technology that strengthens India’s leadership in space exploration."

Speciality of the new engine
During the Gaganyaan mission, the crew module, named the Gaganyaan Capsule, developed by ISRO, will carry Indian astronauts into space. The Gaganyaan Capsule will re-enter Earth’s atmosphere safely after completing its planned experiments. This is going to be the first of its kind launch vehicle to carry astronauts out of Earth's atmosphere.
