Gold, silver rates today: Prices climb again in Kolkata amid global geopolitical tensions

Due to the war between America and Iran, there is now widespread geopolitical instability across West Asia. However, amid this, gold and silver prices had declined on Monday, which brought hope to investors' minds. But on Tuesday, the prices of these two precious metals rose again. While gold prices did not increase significantly, silver prices jumped in the country's market on this day. See how much the price difference was in Kolkata compared to the previous day.

On Tuesday, in Kolkata's market, the price of 24-carat pure gold per 10 grams increased by 1 thousand 50 rupees. The price of 22-carat gold per 10 grams in Kolkata's market increased by 1 thousand rupees. The price of silver per kilogram increased by 10 thousand 750 rupees.

Tuesday (10 March) gold rates in Kolkata market: (excluding tax)

Pure gold bar (24 carat): 1 lakh 59 thousand 450 rupees (per 10 grams)

Pure gold bar (retail): 1 lakh 60 thousand 250 rupees (per 10 grams)

Hallmarked jewellery gold (22 carat): 1 lakh 52 thousand 300 rupees (per 10 grams)

Silver (retail): 2 lakh 63 thousand 450 rupees (per kilogram)
