The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) declared the Class 12 results for 2026 on May 4. The overall pass percentage was 92.02, with many students clearing the exam across the state.
A total of 81,417 students registered for the exam, and 74,637 students passed. The results showed strong academic performance across different categories and schools.

Overall performance and topper details
As per NDTV reports, Anshit Kumar from PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School emerged as the state topper, securing 99.2 per cent (496 marks). He was followed by Shayla Kashyap and Arushi, who both scored 99 per cent marks.
Who performed better: girls or boys in HPBOSE results
As per NDTV reports, girls once again outperformed boys in the HPBOSE Class 12 results. A total of 37,449 girls passed the examination, compared to 36,888 boys.
A total of 37,449 girls passed the examination, including 18,808 from the general category, 10,446 from Scheduled Castes (SC), 2,267 from Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 6,228 from Other Backward Classes (OBC).
In comparison, 36,888 boys passed the exam across categories, including 18,768 from the general category, 9,649 from SC, 2,253 from ST, and 6,218 from OBC. The data shows that girls had slightly higher pass numbers than boys in the Himachal Pradesh board results.

How to check results
Students can check their results on official websites such as hpbose.org and digilocker.gov.in. The marksheets are also available through DigiLocker for easy access.
To download the marksheet, visit the official website digilocker.gov.in. Then click on “Class XII Marksheet” and select “H. P. Board Of School Education” followed by “Class XII Marksheet” again. After that, enter your roll number and date of birth. Your marksheet will then appear on the screen.
The results also show higher pass numbers for girls compared to boys.
