He casually brought up the topic of marriage, something rarely discussed during toss presentations. Morrison asked if he had any marriage plans in recent days. The question visibly surprised Gill, who appeared momentarily uncomfortable. After a brief pause, he responded diplomatically, āNo, no, thereās nothing to announce yet.ā

Not the first time
Interestingly, this isnāt the first instance of Morrison putting Gill in a tricky spot with a personal query. Similar questions were raised in previous IPL seasons as well. Gill has previously addressed such speculation. In a 2025 interview, he clarified that he has been single for several years and prefers to keep his focus firmly on cricket. He also pointed out that the demanding schedule of professional cricket leaves little room for personal commitments.
