MBOSE SSLC result 2026 out: Here’s how you can check your score in seconds

Meghalaya Board of School Education declares Class 10 results for 2026 with 86.84% pass rate. Students can check scores online or via SMS using their roll numbers.

The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has announced the Class 10 (SSLC) results for 2026. Students can visit megresults.nic.in to check their scores using their exam roll number. A total of 86.84 per cent of students passed the examination this year.

Out of 48,623 students who sat for the exam, 42,228 passed. The board had conducted the SSLC exams between January 30 and February 11. Pass rates have fluctuated over the years. From 52.90% in 2021, the figure moved to 56.96% in 2022, then dipped to 51.93% in 2023. It rose to 55.80% in 2024 before jumping sharply to 87.10% in 2025, the highest in recent years. The 2026 figure of 86.84% remains very close to that mark.

Performance across categories and genders

The Regular-1 category topped all groups with a 93.30% pass rate. A total of 23,358 students in this group passed all six subjects. Boys performed slightly better with 93.97%, while girls scored 92.84%.

The Regular-2 category had a pass rate of 80.72%, with 16,476 students. Performance was almost equal, with girls at 80.81% and boys at 80.60%.

Passing criteria, grace marks and re-evaluation rules

Students must score at least 30% in each subject. They also need 30% overall to pass.

Grace marks may be given in some cases. This helps students meet the passing criteria.

Students who are dissatisfied with their marks can apply online for re-checking or re-evaluation within the prescribed window. Only theory papers are eligible for this process. Practical and internal assessment marks cannot be challenged.

How to check results?

Students can check their results using two methods.

For the website method, visit megresults.nic.in, click on the Class 10 Result 2026 link, enter your 9-digit Roll Code and Roll Number from the admit card.

After that complete the CAPTCHA, and click submit. The result will display subject-wise marks, total marks, grade or division, and pass or fail status.

Another method is via SMS. Open the message box and type MBOSE10 followed by your roll number. Send it to 56263. You will receive your result on your phone. Take a screenshot or download a PDF after checking.
