Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster Dhurandhar, which released on December 5 and became one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films, is now gearing up for its sequel. The makers recently unveiled the trailer of Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2), offering fans a glimpse of a more intense and action-packed chapter.

The three-and-a-half-minute trailer, released on March 7, shows Ranveer stepping into a darker and more ferocious avatar as the story shifts into a high-octane revenge saga. In the sequel, he rises as the new Sher-e-Baloch and the undisputed king of Lyari after killing Akshaye Khanna’s character, Rahman Dakait, in the first part.

The film explores Jaskirat’s journey and his transformation into Hamza. The sequel also features strong supporting performances, with R. Madhavan playing the strategic mastermind Ajay Sanyal, Arjun Rampal portraying ISI Major Iqbal, and Sanjay Dutt appearing as SP Chaudhary Aslam in a powerful role.

Soon after the trailer was released, fans flooded social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with praise for the film and its cast.

Fans also applauded Sanjay Dutt’s dialogue delivery in the trailer. One user wrote, "DhurandharTheRevenge trailer just proved Ranveer Singh is the KING of intensity! Sanjay Dutt's presence? PURE FIRE! This sequel is going to break records! This is going to be EPIC!"

A X user wrote, "Beast mode activated". While another fan added, "Just shut up and give this man a national award already!!"

The first part of Dhurandhar had earlier crossed ₹1,000 crore worldwide within just three weeks of its release.

Initially, Dhurandhar 2 was scheduled to clash with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. However, the makers later postponed the release date. The film will now hit cinemas on June 4 instead of March 19.

According to the team, the change was made due to the ongoing Middle East conflict, which could affect the film’s reach in international markets.
