Director Vikram Bhatt is about to give the popular horror film franchise 1920 another twist with his latest project 1920: Cold Winter, the latest entry in the ongoing film series. This new venture was officially announced on Friday, soon after the success of Bhatt's recently released film Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past.
The first look poster of the film was shared on the social networking sites by producer Anand Pandit and confirmed by the director himself.
The makers have commented on the film's poster that the partnership between Anand Pandit and Vikram Bhatt will go on with their next film 1920: Cold Winter, which is being seen as the next chilling chapter of the popular film franchise.

Anand Pandit will produce the film, and Bhatt will direct and write it. Roopa Pandit and Rahul V Dubey are joining hands as co-producers of the film.

The 1920 franchise began in 2008 with Vikram Bhatt's gothic horror film 1920, starring Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma. Set in the early twentieth century, the story followed a married couple whose lives are turned upside down after moving into a haunted mansion.
The film's success led to several follow-ups, including 1920: The Evil Returns (2012), 1920: London (2016), 1921 (2018), and 1920: Horrors of the Heart (2023).

The announcement comes at a time when Bhatt is enjoying renewed commercial success. His latest horror film, Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past, released on June 12 and performed strongly at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews from critics.
Starring Mimoh Chakraborty, Chetna Pande, Shruti Prakash, Gaurav Bajpai, Praneet Bhatt and Hemant Pandey, the film reportedly managed to gross ₹18 crore in just one week after releasing with a production budget of ₹13 crore.
