A recent late-night controversy on social media has brought into focus the identity of a German influencer known by the name of Lizzalazz, with several users asserting that she received a like from the Indian cricketer Virat Kohli on one of her Instagram posts.
Although the event has yet to be substantiated, Lizzalazz has gained popularity overnight and has quickly become a name that is being mentioned by everyone due to the controversy surrounding her profile.

The influencer has more than 4 lakh followers on Instagram and her profile includes a combination of photos, videos and posts, with some of these posts having gone viral lately in India due to the mentioned controversy.
There is little to no information available about the influencer's past and career.
What triggered the viral moment
The controversy began on Thursday night when several users alleged that Kohli had liked one of Lizzalazz’s photos on Instagram. Screenshots of the supposed interaction quickly spread, fuelling speculation and memes.
However, there has been no confirmation from Kohli, and it remains unclear whether the interaction actually occurred, was accidental, or the result of an app-related glitch.
The episode quickly spiralled into online humour, with users flooding platforms with reactions, many referencing Kohli’s wife and actor Anushka Sharma in jest.
Not the first time
This is not the first instance where Kohli has found himself at the centre of a similar online storm. In 2025, fans had spotted his account interacting with a post by actor Avneet Kaur.

At the time, Kohli issued a clarification, attributing the activity to an algorithm-related issue. “It appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it,” he had said.
Virality, speculation and the algorithm effect
The latest episode highlights how even unverified digital interactions involving high-profile figures can trigger widespread attention.
In the absence of confirmation, speculation has largely been driven by screenshots, user claims and meme culture—an increasingly common pattern in the social media ecosystem. For influencers like Lizzalazz, such moments can translate into sudden spikes in visibility, even if the trigger remains unclear.
