Shhyamali’s career includes notable contributions to Indian cinema including being an assistant director on Aamir Khan’s Rang De Basanti and Ajay Devgn’s Omkara. She has worked as a creative supervision on the 2014 rom-com Happy Ending, directed by Raj & DK.

Shhyamali got married Raj Nidimoru in 2015, and their marriage ended in 2022. She has always maintained a respectful and warm public tone even after getting divorced Raj. For instance, on Valentine’s Day 2023, she posted a picture on her Instagram captioning it, "There is a hand I love to hold, a face I love to see, there is a voice I love to hear that means the world to me...
