According to quarry workers, around 35 to 40 laborers were working when the accident happened. As a high-powered compression machine drilled holes into the hillside, the earth suddenly collapsed. Huge boulders rolled down in seconds, trapping several workers under rubble. The exact number of people trapped is not yet confirmed.

Immediately after receiving word of the incident, local administration personnel arrived on the scene, including the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and the police. Rescue teams have begun clearing the debris, but no workers have yet been rescued.

Relatives of the trapped workers have also reached the quarry. Overcome with grief, many broke down in tears. A somber atmosphere now hangs over the area as the quarry management arrives to offer support, assuring families that they will assist in every possible way.
