Air pollution is directly impacting education. Every time air pollution danger increases in Delhi, education takes a hit. The same thing is happening this time too. The Delhi government took special measures to protect young students from pollution. An order has been issued to conduct all classes up to fifth grade completely in online mode. This step was taken as air pollution threats increased in the capital.
Government issues order for online classes
The Directorate of Education has issued a notification. The order clearly states that all government, government-aided and private schools in Delhi will conduct classes from nursery to fifth grade completely online. No offline classes will be held. This order will remain in effect until new guidelines are issued.

The same notification informed that classes from sixth grade and other higher classes of schools will be conducted as per the guidelines issued on December 13.
Concerns about Delhi's air quality are gradually rising. Even on Monday, Delhi was covered in thick smog. According to reports from national media, Delhi's AQI touched 498 that day. This reading was in Jahangirpuri, which was the worst among Delhi and the adjoining areas. Air quality was monitored from a total of 40 stations, of which 38 stations were in the severe category. Two stations were in the Very Poor category. Delhi's air quality was very poor on Sunday as well.
