The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday renewed its demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing concerns over repeated examination-related controversies and alleged paper leaks.

Addressing supporters gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das questioned the government's response to the issues raised by students and their families.

"The government has not listened for years... Over one crore students have been affected by paper leaks. If Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign, we appeal to Prime Minister Modi to remove him from the post," Das said.

Focus on examination controversies

The demand comes amid ongoing criticism from the group over alleged irregularities linked to various examinations, including concerns surrounding paper leaks and evaluation-related issues.

CJP leaders have argued that students have been left uncertain about their future and have called for greater accountability within the education system.

The party has made the resignation of the education minister one of its central demands, saying those responsible for the controversies should be held accountable.

Call for peaceful participation

Alongside the demand for Pradhan's resignation, Das urged supporters to ensure that the gathering remained peaceful.

"We are all followers of Mahatma Gandhi and have gathered here peacefully. This is Gandhi's country. I appeal to all protesters to remain vigilant and keep an eye on their surroundings. If any anti-social elements are present, they could disrupt and discredit this legitimate protest," he said.

The remarks echoed the party's earlier appeals for non-violence and cooperation with authorities.

Party leaders said the protest was aimed at highlighting student concerns and pressing for accountability from policymakers. The gathering took place under a significant security presence, with Delhi Police monitoring the situation at the venue.
