Royal Challengers Bengaluru produced a commanding all round display to hammer Gujarat Titans by 92 runs in a high scoring IPL 2026 clash. RCB piled up a massive 254 for five in 20 overs before bundling GT out for 162 in 19.3 overs. Rajat Patidar led the charge with a breathtaking knock while the bowlers backed it up with a disciplined effort to seal one of the team’s most dominant victories of the season.

Rajat Patidar powers RCB to massive total

RCB lost Venkatesh Iyer early but quickly regained control through an attacking partnership between Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal. Kohli smashed 43 off 25 balls while Padikkal added a quick 30 from 19 deliveries to maintain the momentum.

The biggest impact came from skipper Rajat Patidar, who tore apart the GT bowling attack with a sensational 93 off just 33 balls. He played fearless cricket from the beginning and found boundaries with ease. Krunal Pandya added late fireworks with a rapid 43 off 28 balls while Jitesh Sharma finished strongly with an unbeaten cameo.

Gujarat bowlers struggled throughout the innings as Kagiso Rabada, Jason Holder and Prasidh Krishna all leaked runs heavily under pressure.

RCB bowlers dominate as GT collapse in chase

Chasing a daunting target, Gujarat Titans never looked settled at the crease. Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler showed brief resistance while Rahul Tewatia fought hard with a counter attacking 68. However, wickets kept falling regularly and the required run rate continued to rise sharply.

RCB bowlers remained in control from the powerplay till the end. Jacob Duffy starred with three wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood delivered crucial breakthroughs. Krunal Pandya and Romario Shepherd also chipped in with important contributions to wrap up the innings.

The emphatic victory strengthens RCB’s position in the IPL 2026 points table and sends a strong warning to the remaining playoff contenders ahead of the business end of the tournament
