The RCB player, Yash Dayal, finally opens up about missing the season with his team. He claimed to be a part of the squad despite his absence this year.

At the beginning of the season, RCB Director of Cricket Mo Bobat exposed the absence of Dayal for Bengaluru this year due to a "personal situation."

Speaking on the Talk with Manvendra podcast and NDTV sports, Dayal reveals, "Obviously, if you are sitting outside. When I watch them on television, sometimes I just get up. But then it is my team, and they haven't removed me. They kept me on the retain list and didn't get me a replacement.”

IPL absence wasn't a personal decision?

Dayal's absence is connected to the ongoing legal proceedings that have hampered his return to IPL this year.

The pacer faces allegations of sexual exploitation in one matter, and a separate case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The first FIR against Dayal was registered on July 6 at the Indira Puram police station in Ghaziabad district under Section 69, where he has been accused of sexually exploiting a woman on the plea of marriage.

He also added that, “The statement could be controversial, but the decision is always made by the authority. I don't know what the reason was behind RCB's decision. I miss them a lot. I don't know if the team misses me, the fans will say that."

The left hander has also clarified about the relation with the management, as quoted by NDTV sports he said, "I have been in conversations with the management. I have spoken to the director, and with the coach too, and also Dinesh Karthik. We communicate in intervals, and the connection hasn't broken. There is no communication gap. Everything is clear and sorted.”

Dayal's second FIR under the POCSO Act

The second FIR against Dayal was registered at Jaipur's Sanganer Police Station for allegedly raping a girl over a period of two years while emotionally blackmailing her.

It was revealed that Dayal tempted the girl, promising her a career in cricket and invited her to a hotel in Sitapura, where the girl was sexually assaulted. The girl was only 17 years old when the abuse began, which led to the case being filed under the POCSO Act.

The allegations made against the RCB player led him out of the tournament this year, which the team officials regarded as a "personal situation". RCB, on the other hand, is the first team to qualify for the playoffs this season, holding its legacy as the defending champions of IPL.
