The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has recently announced 987 teaching vacancies across Kendriya Vidyalayas in India for the 2026–27 academic year, offering a significant opportunity for candidates seeking government teaching jobs.
According to official details released by KVS, the recruitment drive aims to fill posts for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and Primary Teachers (PRT) in various Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country.

Break-up of vacancies and eligibility
As per the notification, the total 987 vacancies include 493 posts for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and 494 posts for Primary Teachers (PRT).
Candidates applying for these posts must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, which include relevant educational qualifications such as a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree and qualification in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), depending on the post applied for.
Applicants are advised to check subject-wise vacancy details, age limits, reservation norms, and selection criteria before submitting their applications.
