The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued a recruitment notification for Circle Based Officer (CBO) positions across various circles of the country’s largest public sector bank. As announced, a total of 2,050 candidates will be recruited through this process. The notification was published on Wednesday, January 28.
Applications for the Circle-Based Officer posts must be submitted online only, as no other mode of application will be accepted. The application link is available on the official website of the State Bank of India. The application process began on Thursday, January 29, and will remain open until February 18.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for these positions must be between 21 and 30 years of age. However, applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per government norms. To apply, candidates must hold a graduate degree from a college affiliated with any recognised university. Applicants with equivalent qualifications in engineering, medical sciences or chartered accountancy are also eligible.
According to the notification, candidates must have a minimum of two years of work experience in officer-level positions at any bank in the country to be considered for the CBO posts.
Selection process and vacancies
Candidates seeking employment as Circle-Based Officers in SBI will have to appear for a written examination scheduled to be held in March. The detailed examination schedule will be communicated to applicants at a later date. Those who qualify in the written examination will be called for an interview, followed by a language test. The final stages of the selection process include document verification and a medical examination.
