The second T20 match between India and South Africa became special for various reasons. Although Team India lost the match, it remains memorable for other reasons. This match was held at the newly constructed stadium in Chandigarh, which was the first men's international cricket match at this ground.
At the same time, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) honored world champion India captain Harmanpreet Kaur along with Harleen Deol and Amanjot Kaur during this match. However, beyond this, an incident occurred that surprised everyone. India's wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma touched Harleen Deol's feet in a gesture of respect, and that video has now gone viral.

The second match of the T20 series between India and South Africa was held at Chandigarh Stadium on Thursday (December 11). Just before the match began, a special ceremony took place at the stadium where stands were inaugurated in the names of Harmanpreet Kaur and legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. Alongside this, the PCA specially honored three women's team players including world champion captain Harmanpreet.
Jitesh's respectful gesture to Harleen
After the ceremony ended, Jitesh Sharma came to the field for practice. It was then that Harleen and Jitesh made eye contact and moved forward to meet each other. When everyone thought Jitesh and Harleen would shake hands, India's wicketkeeper surprised everyone by touching Harleen's feet. This amazed everyone because age-wise, Jitesh is older than the women's cricketer. Jitesh is 32 years old while Harleen is 27. So why Jitesh touched her feet can only be explained by him and Harleen.

How was Jitesh's performance?
Probably Jitesh did this in a playful manner. However, the video has gone massively viral and everyone is asking the same question. From the match perspective, Jitesh could not do anything special this time either. Team India was chasing a target of 214 runs and lost due to the failure of the top order. There was hope that Jitesh would achieve something big. He scored 27 runs in 17 balls, which was not enough to ensure the team's victory.
