The ICC T20 World Cup has started today with the match of Pakistan and the Netherlands and the opening ceremony of the World Cup is all set to bring fire on the eve of Friday in Mumbai before the match of India and the USA. Popular artists like Badshah, Nora Fatehi, Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, and Sivamani are ready to set the tone for the World Cup and make the Wankhede audience groove with stunning performances. Badshah stated in a press note as quoted by Hindustan Times, that he is very much excited to be part of this worldwide celebration of sport, entertainment and culture. He further added that Music and Cricket both bring people together, and he is so thrilled to perform on the stage.

The Opening Ceremony lineup opens with a powerful musical medley by Rishab Rikhiram Sharma and Sivamani, blending classical Indian sounds with contemporary rhythms. Their performance sets the cultural and musical tone for the evening. The spotlight then shifts to chart-topping rapper Badshah, who delivers a high-energy live set designed to electrify the crowd. Following him, actor and performer Nora Fatehi takes centre stage with a large-scale dance spectacle supported by an ensemble of dancers. The ceremony concludes with Badshah and Nora Fatehi joining forces for a grand, crowd-pleasing finale.
India is placed in Group A along with arch-rivals Pakistan, Namibia, the Netherlands, and the USA. They start off their tournament against the USA in Mumbai on the 7th of February. In case India wins the tournament and retains their title, they record their second consecutive title in the T20 WC, making it three titles — one record in the tournament's history.
