FC Barcelona have received a timely lift in their La Liga title charge, with Raphinha close to returning from injury. Head coach Hansi Flick confirmed the winger is back in training, raising hopes of his involvement in the crucial final stretch of the season. With Barcelona holding a strong position at the top, his comeback could prove decisive.
Raphinha's return strengthens attacking options
Raphinha had been sidelined with a hamstring injury, missing several important fixtures during a key phase of the campaign. His absence reduced Barcelona’s attacking sharpness, particularly on the wings, where his pace and direct play are vital. Under Flick, Raphinha has been one of the most consistent performers, contributing goals, assists, and a defensive work rate. His ability to stretch defences and create space makes him a crucial component in Barcelona’s system.

As quoted by Sportstar, Flick told reporters, “Rapha is a player who always gives us 100 per cent, when he’s on the pitch or in training.”

Now back in training, the Brazilian is expected to be gradually reintegrated into the squad. Even limited minutes in upcoming matches could boost Barcelona’s attacking depth and provide more tactical flexibility as fixtures pile up.
Title race under control, but focus remains key
Barcelona currently sit comfortably at the top of the La Liga standings, maintaining a clear points advantage over its rivals. This cushion puts them in a strong position to secure the title if they maintain consistency in the remaining matches. However, Flick has emphasised the importance of staying focused and avoiding complacency. With injuries and fatigue becoming factors late in the season, squad rotation and player availability will be critical.
Raphinha is 29, he’s still got at least 3–4 solid years at the top.

“His mentality, his attitude, is always 100 percent and that helps us a lot. This season, he has had to suffer (from injury), so for us it’s important to have him back. He will also travel with us, and we’ll see what happens tomorrow... I think also for the team it’s great to have him back, because he’s one of our captains, he’s positive and can give us these things that we need." Flick added.
