East Bengal continued their dominant run in the Indian Women’s League (IWL) with another commanding victory on Tuesday. The 'Moshal Girls' registered their fifth straight win by defeating Kickstart FC 5-0, maintaining their perfect record and staying firmly at the top of the points table. Star striker Fazila Ikwaput once again stole the spotlight by scoring two goals, while Resty Nanziri, Sulanjana Raul and Astam Oraon also found the back of the net.

Strong start and first-half control

East Bengal asserted control right from the opening minutes and broke the deadlock in the 15th minute. Sulanjana Raul moved past the defenders before setting up Fazila Ikwaput, who calmly lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper to score. The team continued to press and doubled the lead just before halftime. Silky Devi and Fazila combined well in attack, creating space for Resty Nanziri, who finished the move neatly to make it 2-0 at the break.

Relentless second-half performance

The pressure increased further in the second half as East Bengal kept attacking. Around the 60th minute, Fazila unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box that struck the crossbar. Sulanjana reacted quickly and headed in the rebound to score the third goal. Just three minutes later, Astam Oraon added the fourth, finishing off a well-placed cross from Silky Devi. Fazila completed her brace in the 73rd minute with East Bengal's fifth goal, sealing a comprehensive win.
