‘I’m weirder than sh*t’

In the candid interview, Messi referred to himself as weird by saying, “I’m weirder than sh*t. I really like being alone, I enjoy being alone, the mess at home with the three kids running around everywhere ends up saturating me, and I need a moment of solitude.”

Opened up about his personal life

Speaking about his personal life, Messi admitted that he is highly structured and deeply affected when his routine is disrupted. He explained that if his day is planned in a particular way and something unexpected occurs, it throws him off completely. Asked about what makes him feel unsettled, Messi laughed and suggested that his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, would be better suited to answer. He added that his reactions often depend on his mood and can be triggered by small, insignificant things.

Messi also addressed his distance from social media, clarifying that it is not due to opposition but rather a lack of personal interest, while noting that his wife, Antonela, relies on it far more than he does. He admitted that social platforms make him uncomfortable, largely because of how easily false narratives spread, observing that people often say things that have no connection to reality and that it is impossible to keep denying everything.
