Indian Super League clubs have jointly asked the All India Football Federation for immediate clarity over the future of the league, as uncertainty continues to grow ahead of the next season. Several clubs are now reportedly reviewing their commitment due to the lack of direction regarding the league’s structure and operations.

In a joint statement, the clubs expressed concern over the delay in finalising plans for the upcoming season. The absence of a confirmed roadmap has made it difficult for teams to plan player contracts, sponsorship deals, budgets, and preseason preparations.

Clubs are believed to be pushing for a structure that gives them a bigger role in decision-making and commercial matters. However, talks have yet to produce a final agreement.
Financial uncertainty worries clubs
Apart from governance concerns, clubs are also worried about financial stability. Rising operational costs and uncertainty surrounding broadcasting and commercial partnerships have added to the tension. Many teams are hesitant to make long-term financial commitments without clarity on revenue-sharing and league operations.
