PSG boosts up before UEFA Champions League final with addition of Dembele and Hakimi

PSG forward Ousmane Dembele reveals his recovery from calf injury and is ready to play the final.

The Saturday night of May 30, 2026 will be a glorious moment between the French Giants and the EPL Champions Arsenal. The EPL title holder of this year is set to face PSG, the defending UCL champions at 9:30 PM on Saturday. Meanwhile PSG is ready with a formatted team after the inclusion of Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi from injury.

The PSG right-winger Ousmane Dembele has been through a sustained calf issue in the final weeks of the Ligue 1 season but declared about his comeback for the 'main event' on Friday.

On the other side, the Moroccan right-back Achraf Hakimi has also left concerns at the Parisian camp since sustaining a right thigh injury against Bayern Munich during the first leg of the Champions League semifinals on April 28.

However, Hakimi was seen in training session on Tuesday and has been given green-signal by the PSG coach Luis Enrique.

PSG to defend their reign

PSG will be gearing up to defend their title. After a record-breaking victory against Inter Milan with a score of 5-0 last year, PSG is all set to face Arsenal in this year's UEFA Champions League Final with their impactful players in the line-up.

Dembele's concern for UCL finals

On May 17, Dembele was substituted in the first half of PSG's final game in the French Cup due to a niggle in his calf. Though PSG loss 2-1 against Paris FC in the tournament.

Dembele said, as quoted by Business Standard, "I wasn't scared about missing the final," Dembele told a news conference at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary. "I stopped as soon as I felt the niggle (against Paris FC)."

He also claimed the season to be 'quite complicated' since the finals of the Club World Cup last summer. Whereas Luis Enrique prioritised in managing rest time rather than studying Arsenal.
