The UCL 2025-26 is going to experience an intensifying contest as the tournament progresses in its second half. The league phase ended with the Real Madrid and Benfica match. With the eight clubs earning direct entry, the playoffs have started to take shape now. Barcelona, along with Arsenal and Bayern Munich, will be there for exciting challenges, while flagship teams like Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have failed to have a direct entry. Though they will get a second chance, as under the current system, both clubs remain in contention, competing in two-legged playoff games against 14 other teams, with the winners progressing to the knockout stage alongside the top eight from the league phase.

Eight clubs have officially booked their places in the knockout stage, reflecting strong performances across Europe’s top leagues. England dominates the list with Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Manchester City all advancing. Germany is represented by Bayern Munich, while Spain’s challenge is led by FC Barcelona. Portugal’s Sporting complete the lineup. Their qualification highlights consistency, squad depth, and tactical sharpness, setting the stage for an intense and highly competitive knockout phase ahead.

Here are the names of seeded teams that still have a chance to qualify

Eight seeded clubs are still in contention to qualify for the UEFA Champions League 2025–26, keeping the race wide open across Europe. Spain features prominently through Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, both seasoned European performers. Italy remain strongly represented by Inter Milan, Juventus, and Atalanta, underlining Serie A’s depth. France’s challenge rests with Paris Saint-Germain, while England’s hopes are carried by Newcastle United. Germany completes the list with Bayer Leverkusen, as all eight aim to secure their place among Europe’s elite next season.
