Ranveer Singh returns as Hamza in Dhurandhar 2; teaser gets mixed reactions

Aditya Dhar’s movie Dhurandhar 2 – officially named Dhurandhar: The Revenge – has just released its teaser. It is the sequel to the massively successful spy action thriller Dhurandhar, which was released in 2025. The original film received huge box office success and was a blockbuster.

On February 3, 2026, at 12:12 pm, the makers of the film released the teaser. Along with it, Ranveer Singh himself also shared one of his spectacular posters, which contains a dark red backdrop, making the mood even more intense, deep, and violent. He further added a caption – “Ab Bigadne Ka Waqt Aa Gaya Hai” – which clearly denotes that something fierce is on its way. The shared post, caption, and teaser all hint at one thing: Hamza, starring Ranveer Singh, is not just going to fight in this upcoming sequel but he is on a vengeance mission.

What’s in the teaser?

The teaser is full of action and basically consists of bold and aggressive scenes about fighting enemies brutally in a revengeful manner. The teaser also hints that the role of Ranveer Singh, known as Hamza, has become a powerful figure in Lyari, as he openly dominates the streets by showcasing his power. The teaser ends with a powerful line, “Ye Naya Hindustan Hai, Ye Ghar Mein Ghusega Bhi Aur Marega Bhi,” which actually means that this new India will enter your home if it has to and will also hit you.

How are fans reacting?

The teaser is receiving mixed reactions from fans. Some of them exclaimed with joy that it is intense and gives them ‘goosebumps’ because of Hamza’s impactful appearance. Many of them are appreciating the teaser by commenting that it is fully ‘power-packed’ and that they ‘can’t wait.’

Several viewers claim that it is nothing but previously seen visuals from the last scene of Dhurandhar and also complained that the makers are not going to present anything new and they felt ‘scammed’.

These mixed reactions are revolving around social media platforms where fans are making memes, jokes, and criticizing the teaser.

The makers have also announced that the film is going to be released in cinemas worldwide on March 19, 2026, in several languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
