The young cricketers who will be the stars of tomorrow will be travelling to Dubai to compete against the U19 category of teams from Asian countries for the glory of the ‘Asian champion.’ The ACC Men’s Asia Cup will be held from December 12th to December 21st. This tournament is a major, serious step for those who plan to have a decorated career in the sport.
Indian squad for ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup
Ayush Mhatre is a 15-year-old prodigy batter from Mumbai who has been appointed as the captain of the squad. Ayush had proved his talent in the 2025 edition of IPL, playing for the Chennai Super Kings. Although he struggled with his consistency in the recent series he participated in, playing against the countries of England and Australia. Vivaan Malhotra is appointed as the vice-captain of the squad. The team consists of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old prodigy batter who has drawn the attention of the viewers of the game with his fabulous batting. Suryavanshi has an average of 59.75, which is good enough to be called one of the best in his segment.
The U19 Men’s squad of India includes batsmen and all-rounders: Ayush Mathre (captain), Vaibhav Suriyavanshi, Vihaan Malhotra (vice-captain), Vedant Trivedi, Yuvraj Gohil, Kanishk Chouhan, Naman Pushpak, D. Deepesh, Udhav Mohan, and Aaron George. The wicketkeepers are Abhigyan Kundu (expected to play a key role) and Harvansh Singh. The bowlers will include Henil Patel, Khilan Patel, and Kishan Kumar Singh (subject to medical clearance). In case of any injury, there are four players in reserve: Rahul Kumar, Hemchudeshan J, BK Kishore, and Aditya Rawat.

India’s matches in the tournament:
India has been drawn into Group A, where they are paired with their archrivals, Pakistan. The two other spots shall be occupied by the qualifying countries. Group B looks decent with teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, and the last spot shall be taken by the qualifying nation. India will be playing the first match on December 12th against the first qualifying nation. The date December 14th shall be the day when the archrivals meet, when India will face Pakistan. The last match of the group stage shall be played between India and the next qualifying nation. The semi-finals will be played on 19th December, and the grand finale will be played on 21st December.
