After unleashing the rollout a few weeks earlier, Google now confirms that Gemini for Home is becoming accessible much faster for users choosing to swap from Google Assistant.
The company introduced the feature in late October and expanded it more widely last week. In a recent blog post, Google states that millions of households already have Gemini enabled on their smart speakers and that the pace of availability is increasing rapidly.

Early access invites within twenty-four hours
From December 10 onwards, natives of the United States can dive into the Gemini for the home early access section through the Google Home app. Most users will see an invite land within a day of signing in.
Google says that the pace of invite distribution is getting a major boost starting today, meaning anyone in the United States who has not yet received an invite can simply sign up and unlock access within twenty-four hours. Third-party speakers are also being activated to support Gemini. Google adds that some users may have missed their earlier invites and requests them to check the home settings in the app before assuming they missed out.
Global users are in confusion
The top-ranking comment from a UK user highlights disappointment over Google allowing sign-ups from other regions while offering early access only to the United States, effectively questioning Google’s inclusivity, with no timeline announced for expansion beyond the US. International users are left waiting without any specific clarity.

Gemini for home is compatible with a wide range of devices, including Google Nest Hub second generation, Nest Audio, Nest Mini second generation, Nest Hub Max, Nest Wifi point, Nest Hub first generation, Google Home Max, Google Home Mini first generation, Google Home, and supported third-party speakers.
