Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) introduced its new model Seirra 2025 on November 25. The SUV comes with three engine options, which include a new 1.5-litre Hyperion T-GDi petrol unit, which is also expected to be used in the models of Safari Petrol and Harrier.

What is the Hyperion T-GDi engine?

The Hyperion T-GDi engine can generate up to 160 PS of power and a peak twisting force of 255 Nm. The Sierra comes with a 1.5-litre Hyperion engine paired with a 6-speed torque converter. It is expected that there will be an option for choosing between manual and automatic transmission for the Harrier and Safari. There might be a subtle change in the engines' tuning for these vehicles, as both the Tata Safari and Harrier are comparatively larger SUVs. The petrol versions of both cars are relevant enough, as they pose rivals against Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai Motors India, and JSW MG Motor India.
