India's popular quick commerce platform Zepto has introduced a range of new in-app features, including a ‘Pay Later’ option, as it shifts focus from speed-driven delivery to what it calls “behaviour-led commerce.”
The company said the sector is moving beyond the race for the fastest 10-minute delivery and is now focusing on making everyday shopping smoother and more intuitive for users.
New features aim to improve shopping experience
As per a PTI report, The highlight of the update is the ‘Pay Later’ feature, which offers users a 15-day, interest-free repayment window. Built entirely within the app, the feature allows one-tap checkout without OTPs or third-party redirects. Users can access instant credit of up to ₹10,000, making it easier to place frequent, low-value orders.
“Meet Zepto Pay Later, a BNPL experience built completely inside the Zepto app. Shopping is now going to be smoother than ever. It’s already live for a small percentage, and we plan to scale this up to the entire user base very soon," Zepto Co-Founder Kaivalya Vohra said.

Alongside this, Zepto has launched ‘Real Lens’, a feature that shows daily-updated, timestamped images of fresh produce from nearby stores. Users can switch between catalogue images and real photos, helping build trust and reduce returns or complaints.
The platform has also added an ‘Add After Checkout’ feature, allowing customers to include forgotten items in an existing order within a limited time window without placing a new order, while keeping delivery timelines unchanged.
With these updates, Zepto is aiming to reduce friction in online shopping and offer a more seamless, user-friendly experience.
