Karishma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, have accused their stepmother Priya Sachdev of stopping the funds required for their education. After reviewing the complaint submitted by their lawyer, Mahesh Jeth, the court has issued a summons to Priya and directed her to respond within three days.

According to Karishma’s lawyer, both Samaira and Kiaan study in the United States, where their educational expenses are substantial. These expenses were earlier covered by their father, Sanjay Kapur. After Sanjay’s death, Priya allegedly stopped releasing the funds, leaving even two months of college fees unpaid. Their lawyer told the court that the children’s studies are now being disrupted because of this.

Priya, however, has denied all allegations. Her lawyer stated that every claim made against her is entirely false and that Priya has been fulfilling all responsibilities toward the children. Earlier, Priya had also been accused of presenting forged documents.

There were errors in the documents Sanjay had left behind specifically a spelling mistake in Kiaan’s name and an incorrect address listed for Samaira. Citing these discrepancies, Karishma’s children suspected the documents were forged and filed a petition requesting the court to allow them to see the original papers. Priya’s lawyer argued that spelling mistakes alone do not amount to forgery.
